A: The beer is essentially jet black in color—only traces of reddish brown are visible near the edges of the glass when it is held up to a bright light. It poured with a quarter finger high dark tan head that died down but never completely faded away.
S: Light aromas of habanero peppers are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of dark malts along with strong notes of habanero peppers, the latter of which become a little stronger as the beer warms up and is is rather spicy.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation and has a moderate amount of heat.
O: The habanero peppers in this beer heat up as the beer warms up, but the spiciness and the heat from the peppers never become overpowering.
