Pours a slightly hazy orange color. A large creamy head retains well.
The nose opens funky and tart with lots of citrus notes. Aromas of sour grapefruit, orange, lemon and lime.
Tart flavors throughout, however, their acidity is dialed down for a smoother drinking experience. Flavors of grapefruit, lemon and lime help take the edge off as does a soft, creamy and doughy malt base that offers a hint of sweetness. Furthermore, as the drink warms, the juicy flavors open up more. The finish is dry and slightly mouth puckering.
Medium bodied with a mouthfeel that to me seems smoother than other sours. The carbonation opens lively, although to nitpick, it loses a little bit of its effervescence further in.
Nice sour overall. It’s refreshing and easy to drink. It’s very accessible as its tartness is not too intense and its citrus flavors are tasty.
