Drink Local Ale is their Split Rock Creek Pale Ale that has been wet-hopped with four locally grown hops (Nugget, Zeus, Cascade and Columbus) as well as Citra hops.
The beer pours a lovely, hazy copper with a light and foamy head that quickly dissipates and leaves a bit of lacing behind.
The aroma is over-the-top amazing! Tons of citrus and tropical fruits and pine and a hint of dankness as well.
This beer is such a treat to drink: all that aroma more than pays off in the flavor. Citrus and citrus peel and lemongrass and tropical fruit and some piney resin as well. A very nice malt backbone keeps it under control.
Mouthfeel is appropriate, medium and a little sticky.
Overall, I'd call this an IPA. Just a great, juicy and amazingly fresh-tasting beer.
