Pour: On draft at Brookland Pint in D.C. Poured into a nonic pint. Appearance: Golden bronze in color. Clear with a very thin head. Aroma: Big and luscious hop aroma. Bubblegum and citrus. Taste: Excellent hop balance on the sip. Citrus is very apparent...lemon. Resinous. Aftertaste: Follows the taste profile on the back end. Hop and citrus linger. Finishes clean. Overall: I am becoming a huge fan of RAR Brewing. Up and comers for sure. Very Good. 4.11 out of 5.

RAR's Nanticoke Nectar fermented with saison yeast.
On tap at Brookland Pint.
Appearance: Pours similarly to Nanticoke Nectar. Quite clear with a deep orange hue and a big fluffy white head. Exceptional head retention and lacing.
Smell: Nose is interesting. Regular Nanticoke's nose is dominated with Citra. Farmhouse Nectar's nose features yeast-driven fruit character (apple, pear) along with hints of toasted malt and resiny, citrusy hops. Quite pleasant, if a bit less intense than regular Nanticoke.
Taste: This is really well done. A touch drier than regular Nanticoke thanks to the saison yeast. This yeast also again throws off apple and pear type fruit flavors. A very slight hint of caramel malt balances everything while some juicy citrus hop character pops up late palate before drying out.
Feel: Light/medium bodied for the style. Never wet. Well-carbonated, but not spritzy enough to detract from the body. Pleasant bitterness that doesn't especially linger. Dry, fruity finish.
Overall: A fun twist on one of my favorite IPAs.
