Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into a snifter. The beer pours a rich dark chocolate brown color with creamy tan head of 2.5 cm. The foam fades to a thin edge layer with a wispy island in the center of the glass.
The aroma is apparent but not overpowering, with some sweet chocolate candy and some chocolate milk hints. There is a bit of mint in the back but it is present on the beer. No hints of any hops or the booze in this beer on the nose.
The first sip reveals a silky smooth textured beer with fine spacious carbonation. This makes for a velvety easy drinking beer with these physical traits.
The flavor is what the nose advertises with some sweet chocolate malt and a good dose of roast mixed in as well. I get the strong mint note on the finish and it lingers on my palate with a bit of a tingle. Makes for a bit of fresh breath after each swallow.
I dont get hops nor booze as I drink through my glass. This is a nice experiment with mint and is enjoyable without covering all other flavors. Worth it if you like sweet stouts. Glad I had a chance to try one.

Smells and tastes exactly as the description indicates. The mint is not overwhelming, which I appreciated very much as someone who generally likes mint in toothpaste but not with chocolate.
