Poured moderately hard from a can into a snifter glass, forming a finger of foamy light brown head that eventually faded to nothing. Deep brown color. Smells like not-too-sweet maple syrup, pleasant. Taste is definitely breakfast-like, with the maple syrup the primary flavor. Maybe a bit of coffee and bacon notes, and a little sweet. Medium bodied with almost no carbonation. Solid breakfast stout, but a must have if you like maple syrup.

Oil slick black with a tan foam that settles to a wet bubbled collar.
Smell has a really potent tang of artificial maple syrup drenched McDonald's buttered pancakes with a styrofoam cup of coffee on the side, straight from the drive-thru. The intensity of that Mrs. Buttersworth's essence is over the top and screams artificially flavored high fructose corn syrup, becoming off-putting after a while.
Taste is sweet maple candy and pancake-like malt with a little bourbon heat and hints of cola and coffee via a medium body with a soft, crisp moderate fizz and a sticky, semi-dry heat.

Maple syrup flavor is here. Thin beer and lacks any stout flavor. Decent, but nothing special..
