This looks absolutely terrible. Dirty reddish swamp water. Yuck. But it smells promising, and tastes EXACTLY as advertised. Strawberry on top, followed by vanilla sweetness, then chocolate on the finish. Amazing.

Fresh crowler poured at The Wine Source in Hampden. It was billed as a New England IPA with nodes of strawberries and chocolate. So, yeah, that's something I will try.
The pour is unappealing, even by the standards of the style. Very, very thick. Opaque. I can handle that. But, like, this is one of the weirdest hazes I have ever seen: it's almost white up top, dark orange in the middle, and then the bottom of the pint is light amber. It's like a melted Bomb Pop, and even 10 minutes after the pour it hasn't settled, it still has the weird separation of Jello 1-2-3.
Smells fruit forward with big notes of strawberries. A little one-note but quite nice.
Tastes splendiferous. Like something they'd pour in Willa Wonka's factory (from the old movie, not the shitty newer one). It--jeeze louise it ACTUALLY TASTES LIKE STRAWBERRIES AND CHOCOLATE. That is absurd. It's fruity up front with well-rounded berry nodes, lightly bitter and earthy in the middle, and then the finish is like a chocolate malt.

Pours deep amber with huge white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is light dank. Taste has light sour notes throughout with a light orange sherbet from start to finish.
