10 oz draft pour at Frisco Taphouse in Gambrills, MD. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Not much retention, but decent lacing. Aroma and flavor offer dark roasted malts, almost astringent or burnt (like cigarette ash), with dark chocolate and some sweet vanilla. Charred, roasty, and earthy - not your typical chocolate cookie/cake dessert stout. Once you get past the char it's pretty good, but definitely not what I was expecting or hoping for.
