Grabbed a single at Hair of the Dog. Really looking fwd to this one.
Ok, first. Understand that at @10% I shouldn’t expect much foam/ lacing wise, and it didn’t surprise. Bubbly white brief head. But then to see a murky milky yellow orangish body. Kinda boring.
By then…absolutely spot on nose and taste. Both rich with promised tropical fruit, melons, grapefruit and perfectly balanced and integrated dank. Citra and Galaxy exploded with Nelson tieing it all together. Throw in some soft biscuity malt, oats and wheat. Wow! And wow again!
Unfortunately the dense marshmallow body did not show up. It was a fairly smooth deconstructed with way over bright carbonation. Was expecting something more like an OH Daydream, but just got somewhat heavier standard IPA. It did show none of its 10% otherwise.
Overall a beer that was as aromatic and tasty as the best I’ve had in more than a few years. Awesome! But look and body were disappointing.
Can’t dismiss though. Delicious brew.

Taste has a very well balanced citrus and tropical flavor
