Our Dark Czech Lager has a rich malt complexity that dominates with notes of dark bread crust, toasted rye, and caramel. Smooth and balanced with layers of dark chocolate, nutty brittle, and a touch of molasses without becoming overly sweet. Smooth, crisp, and endlessly drinkable.

Pours very dark brown with a very fat finger of creamy-looking, tan heady. Decent retention and modest lacing.
Cocoa, brown bread and a hint of distant cherry in the nose.
Chocolatey sweetness up front in the taste. Some light minerality and a touch earthy bitterness balance against that somewhat in the finish.
Thick, chewy mouthfeel with soft, lively fizz.
A very tasty brew. Maybe a touch on the heavy side, but no complaints here.

5 oz draft pour at Chessie's Wharf in Annapolis. This is a complex, flavorful, highly drinkable dark lager. Molasses, coffee, cocoa, earthy hops, roasty malt, vanilla - lots going on. And all of it good. No sour twang, not boozy at all. This is a beer to enjoy in much larger quantities than a 5 oz pour...I should have known better.
