Canned 5/14/26, poured into an imperial pint glass from weldwerks.
L: pours beautifully with a thick lacing left behind, which is anticipated with the higher abv. The beer is a shade similar to a mimosa, a pale yellow orange.
S: the nose follows the cans art, muted notes of candied orange, nectarine, are present, some vanilla. This beer is not super fragrant.
T: beautifully bold flavors jump off the tongue with orange and stone fruit (mostly nectarine, some apricot) and some passion fruit notes with a very boozy vanilla note hitting you at the middle. The beer finishes with a bitterness reminiscent of the amaretto you get from biting into the pits of a nectarine accidentally, it’s an oddly sweet bitterness, …. marshmallow?
F: very thin carbonation does this beer a disservice in my opinion. It would add more to the finish and possibly mute some of the boldness at the front.
O: you cannot deny the flavor and intent of this beer: to taste like a glass of orangey nectarine goodness. It’s spot on, only needing a stronger fragrance to draw you in to each sip and a firmer carbonation to match the crisp flavor from the hops.
