Had this one at the EBF and I was really looking forward to it. To my surprise, the brewers were kind of hiding it and I had to ask to make sure they had brought it. Turns out that they didn't seem too proud of it. Poured an amber color with a small head that hung around for a while and left a little lacing on the glass. The aroma was of slightly sour apples, not much else. The flavor wasn't at all what I expected. It tasted of green apples, but there was something that just didn't jive here. I can't really describe it, but I don't think that they got all from the apples that they could have or possibly it wasn't the right kind of apple. Who knows. The body was moderate and the drinkability was ok.

Served on-tap at the bewpub with lunch on December 3. Descripton of the ingredients from the website: "Made from 60% Gala apple juice, 40% malt based and just a kiss of hops..."
Poured a radiant amber in color. Absouletly clear. Similar to the color of apple juice but a bit richer and deeper in reddish appearance. Head was creamy too! Kind of surprised me with so much juice in the beer. Only finger-width deep though.
Nose was full of apple juice. But the all-natural variety, not the type of juice that is full of sugar and all sorts of other stuff. Very sweet.
Flavor was interesting. At first the malts from the beer and the apple juice did not blend very well as flavors. It was almost as if I filled one half of my mouth with a mildly malty beer and the other with apple juice and then let the two mix. However, as the beer warmed up the two began to blend much better and it became more difficult to tell both of the main ingredients apart. Very sweet from both but different types of sweet. Also, the hops were hardly a kiss and I really had to scrape against my teeth to taste them. However, this would be an odd beer of the hops were noticeable.
Very full and juicy mouthfeel that really left me thinking I was just drinking juice. Thankfully this beer has such a low ABV because it would be difficult to hold out all night because this beer is so easy to drink.
