On-draught @ Hat Creek Burger Company for $1.08 USD including tax.
4.6% ABV. 6 SRM. 17 IBU. Year round.
It's a solid pitcher-with-pizza brew. Simple shallow fare you don't think too hard about or analyze because there's not a lot of flavour there. 2 or 6 row, maybe Munich malt. No hop flavour. Clean of any yeast flavour contributions.
No off flavours, faults, or adjuncts.
Medium-bodied, overcarbonated, a bit too thick, slightly refreshing.
A beer brewed for approachability, seeking to meet the big dogs on their own terms and best them. And in that respect, it's a winner - regular drinkers of Budweiser, Miller, Coors, Pabst, et al. will find this less watery and more full in body with more flavour. Discerning drinkers needn't bother, but it's by no means a bad brew and it's worth noting it has no off-flavours, no perceptible adjunct, it's not syrupy, and it's not watery. How many neutral lagers available at budget price points can claim that?
