Pours into a chalice a burgundy infused russet color with a thinner beige head atop.A little tartness comes thru in the nose along with dark fruits and slight oaky notes.Warming on the palate with some plum and raisin really standing out,the bourbon barrel comes thru more than the aromas giving off some vanilla and more toasted oak,a cake-like finish. There is a slight tartness as it warms on the palate, very fruity and the bourbon only enhances the flavors and is not real 'big'.A nice CHRISTmas eve starter.
