12 oz can poured into a pint glass.
Look: clear straw color with a robust white head. Good retention.
Aroma: cracker, white bread. Faint floral hops.
Taste: very clean crackery and light bready taste. Low bitterness; floral notes were there but restrained. No off flavors.
Feel: lively carbonation, light-to-medium bodied.
Overall: a solid German Pilsener. I like a bit more hop presence but a clean well-made beer.

a solid but very simple pils here, the best of the three cans of beer from blackberry farm i had in this session. it seems weird to me that they contract this stuff out, it kind of goes against what they present as their mission, getting these made in florida i believe, and sent back to tennessee. this one seems to do better than the pale or the ipa, a fizzy and clean lager, with a light european shade to the yeast, but delicate and mellow flavors throughout. fresh pilsener malts, crackery and dry, but without the rustic and earthy characteristics i like in this malt in other contexts. almost no hops at all here, the softest noble bitterness, nothing more. there is nice balance between the elements and their delicate individual natures here, but overall the beer seems almost under flavored to me, nice with heavier foods, but seemingly a weaker beer in the total blackberry farm portfolio. excellent carbonation though and a lot of refreshment value, just seems like an odd beer for them to make given their penchant for saisons and the belgian styles. well enough done but really nothing special here...
