Bottle at Green Bench. Clear golden. Sharp and sweet smelling. Strong yeast aromas giving fruit, earth, and some plastic. Taste follows. Sweet bready malt. Fruity and tart. Kinda earthy. Back end is more of the strong yeast flavors. Not bad, but not what I'm looking for from BBF.

This one pours translucent with a fog of pale, orange/yellow hues. There is absolutely no head, no lace, and no visible carbonation.

Herbal funk, oak, and orange emanate from a Pretentious Glass Company tulip-2 glass. The aroma is very tart with lemon and currants. Slight warmth brings out oak tannins.

The flavor is mildly sour, with light to faint bitterness and sweetness. It is very earthy with oak and orange. Acidity takes charge as it warms, releasing coriander, lemon, and currants. The finish is very dry with tart currants and lingering lemon pith.

A light to medium body with a soft texture similar to neoprene. The alcohol is as expected, however, the acidity is quite high. It is almost flat, with the faintest prickle of carbonation and quite dry.

This is an interesting and welcome version of Saison. Despite comments above, I found it to be very drinkable on a cold, late-autumn afternoon.

Unsure of the age of this one, but I'm guessing 5-6 years. Golden color with a small amount of fizzy white head. Outstanding clarity. Aroma has loads of earthy, musty funk. Things go a little downhill once it hits the tongue. There's a nice vinous quality to it with some clear brett notes. Not quite as much funk as I was hoping for. Feel has gone south, as despite the effervescence on the pour, this feels thin and flat.

Brew has remarkable clarity despite a very lively and active straw colored body. Head production is decent for the style.

Nose is a mixture of hay, lemon, oak, bubblegum, honey, flowers, and straw. Mild tannins.

Very tasty on the palate, with a light funk, even less sourness, and a nice overall malt and yeast presentation. Some Brett aspect to the funkiness; light tannins from the oak; lemony citrus; light honey, bread, and pale grains. Perhaps just a touch sweeter than I would prefer. The flavor profile is similar to the nose, but can't quite deliver the same quality.

Lively and slick on the palate. A wet brew by saison standards.

Pretty average effort and severely undercarbed...

Earthy...funky... Frankly, its flat.... Really flat... Good flavor... No life...at all...

The other Blackberry Farm brews rock but this one is... Not good really...

This was fantastic. Only knock is it could actually use a bit more carbonation. I poured this with vigor to generate this head but it was gone shortly after and the body of the beer could use a little more carbonation. Other than that it was almost like white wine. Pear, a bit of lemon/lime, generic citrus, touch of spice and light on the bitterness. Refreshingly tart. I am glad I grabbed a few bottles.

i had read about this one and was really hoping to be able to try it. lucky to have had this one shared with us so generously. its a really unique brew, quite a bit more sour and acidic than i have had in other blackberry farm wild types, pouring mostly clear from the gorgeous little bottle, a bit of haze towards the bottom and a fizzy tonic water sort of airy soda head rising up and then settling slowly. it smells really tart, lemons and white currants and tannic white wine, plenty of oak here too, and a light fruity vinegar element, sort of a blonde flanders vibe we all reckon. white grapes in the flavor, bacterial pucker thats very clean, and also a more mild wild funk underneath with all the wood. the grain aspect seems very delicate, wheat and pils types, but out of the way entirely. robust minerality to this, lots of wine character in the middle, and subtle white peach and green grape at the end with the ramped up acidity. some hops there too, grassy but fresh, noble type. carbonation is really high which makes this drink almost like champagne, dry but still very flavorful and woody in the finish. this is a nice one to share, maybe a little more sour than i would want to take down solo, but an incredibly highly refined brew from two of the very best. this was an absolute treat to share with our group! underrated here for sure!

Pours a golden yellow, slightly hazy, with a quickly dissipating white head leaving a small ring and almost no lacing.

The smell is classic saison funk with orange, floral, and strong oak character.

The taste is very fruit forward with orange and some lemon. There is a lot of oak and a lingering farmhouse funk that's not as present on the tongue as it is in the nose. It's not overly complex and a bit sweeter than most saisons.

The mouthfeel is slightly thin and fizzy with a dry finish.

Overall this is very fruity and easy to drink. A nice light beer with no single flavor dominating.
