16oz can, drank from the can. Aroma and notes of coffee, roasted barley, cocoa, grain, and earthy hops. Medium body, ample carbonation, nicely balanced. Pleasant coffee stout.

Pours black with very dark walnut highlights and is almost clear. A thin, brief, khaki head quickly becomes a thin ring, leaving spotty lace on a Pretentious Glass Company Imperial snifter.
Light blackberries mix well with mild roasted malt. Dark chocolate quickly finds its place while the coffee is very mild and easily overlooked.
The flavor opens with roasted malt with a mild charred edge. Coffee is again barely noticeable. One might overlook it if not expecting to find it. Light baker's chocolate adds bitterness. The sweetness is mild and leads to a long, lingering finish. Black coffee does begin to build as it warms.
A medium body and the texture of soft fine wool. Prickly carbonation helps keep the alcohol in check, but does nothing for the light astringency.
This is a solid American Stout. I found it to be enjoyable and relaxing on a mid-March afternoon. I imagine it would work well with pulled pork.
