i enjoyed this gem all over boulder yesterday. fate is always hit or miss, and this is back on the hit side for me. a rich and creamy pumpkin beer, crackling dry, with all the squash character but no sweetness or brown sugar or clove or any of that, it doesnt need it. where others rely on added sugar, this one is happy and more than ample with grain for sugar, its rich in feel and the dryness comes out of nowhere in the finish. spice is only accent, subtle at the most, the pumpkin is tasted first and the only additives i taste are real flattering. its almost refreshing for the style, easy drinking when im sweaty, but satisfying enough to me when im ice cold this season. not overly unique on the flavor profile, but its the combination of the taste and the feel that make this exceptional. one of the better pumpkin beers of the year, a beauty on tap, wish i had time for more than a few pints. this is up there with the best of the best from these guys.
