they took their delicious gose and added pinot noir grape must to it, and its resulted in a really cool, really funky, wine heavy beer thats quite unique as they go. lots of deep bronzey red color to this from the fruit but still on the clearer side, not much head at all from the tap. its pretty flat in the feel too, and while the acidity is nice and keeps it light, more carbonation would make this a much better beer. the flavors are great though, the salt brings out the grapes a lot, which are tannic and natural in here, a little sweet, and showing some red wine qualities without being quite so concentrated. not sure if this is barrel aged or not, but i can swear i get a funky almost bretty wood aged quality to it in the finish with all the fruit, but it could just be the souring culture being a little more complex than many. nice tang to it, super clean acidity, and cool rustic weirdness as well. the grape must makes this a radically different beer, but something really tasty and interesting. nicely done here, one of the first grape goses i have encountered...
