A big snifter full of golden clarity. Full, white head drops quickly but leaves plenty of lacing behind.
Smell is tart, funky, with good citrus fruit presence, malt is there, too. Great balance.
Taste is a wonderfully balanced dance of tart, crackers, malt, citrus and wood. Nicely done.
Light - medium body, somewhat tingly effervescence fades away fast. Woody note lingers and fades nicely.

On tap in the brewpub, the saison poured a hazy golden color with a small effervescent white head. It smelled of sweet candied sugar and straw, and had a very nice barnyard taste, balanced out by the Belgian yeast. Nice carbonation, this was super easy to drink and an extremely drinkable hot-weather saison.
