Misc.: Collab with Cervejara Dogma
Was looking forward to this one as well, labeled as strong porter with coffee and cocoa nibs. Was apparently a collab with a Brazilian brewery - Cervejara Dogma.
Poured an almost pitch black color with 3-to-4 fingers of frothy tan head when I got it. Could not see any bubbles underneath. Outstanding uneven foamy lacing. Excellent foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled roasted bitter coffee beans, dark chocolate, spicy dark cocoa nibs, roasty malts and charred wood. Not much else but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted smoother than the nose, getting dark chocolate, cocoa, chocolate syrup, roasted coffee beans, semi-charred wood and anise. (Taste - 4.25)
Full body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Just an excellent coffee porter. May have underrated this just a tad. (Overall - 4.25)
