This wildly delicious send-up to the classic Belgian Pale is a testament to why the style is so universally beloved. Sessionable yet stunningly complex, the Belgian yeast absolutely sings over a subtle, herbal hop bill before wrapping up in a clean, dry finish. The moderate ABV is a serious bonus, because you're probably going to want another one.

Clear golden beer with a medium sized snow white head.
Smells strongly of coriander, pepper and flowers. Fainter fruit scent of pears. Smells clean but it isn't that strongly scented.
Starts out Mildly sweet and tasting of coriander and yeast. Soda cracker after taste. Taste of flowers and bee pollen with a soft yeast flavor. Has a bit of a savory flavor possible there is some salt in it. Very faint bitterness and a toasted grain after taste.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side.
Overall easy on the mouth. Very much a general use table beer meant to go with anything.

Pours a slightly hazy gold with a white head. Smells of fruity esters, yeast, and clove. Tastes of fruity esters, cloves, Belgian yeast, coriander, mild tropical fruits, light pepper, lemon, and other spices, with a very dry (almost white wine like) finish. Medium body and carbonation. Overall a very tasty Belgian pale.

Picked up a bomber from the Craft Beer Hop Stop 7-8-17 for $7.99. Bottled on 4-27-17. Stored in the beer fridge since purchase.
Beer poured golden with a okay white head that dissipated quickly.
Nose is light fruit and some citrus. Belgian yeast phenols are very prevalent.
Taste has some hints of grapes, pepper, and light citrus.
Mouthfeel is thick for a session beer; medium bodied and pretty smooth.
Overall a solid beer that is a bit on the pricey side for what you get.

Textbook golden color with plenty of white foam in the tall Timmermans goblet. Malty, wheaty, grapey. Light body but surprisingly malty with the warm cereal taste lingering on the tongue. There is even a hint of clove and pepper.
Light fruity aroma. The Belgian yeasty flavor is in the background and slowly becomes part of the flavor as you sip. Dry finish but such elegant, restrained yeastiness. Totally drinkable, nay, quaffable stuff. It's the Blonde Ale of the gods. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Special Brews in Lynnwood, Wash.

i love when simple beer is done so well, especially more classic styles, and this belgian pale is exactly what im talking about. its a delicate beer, majorly flavorful though, extremely drinkable, and with a striking balance between all three elements. its drinkable forever, and although i do think the floral spicy belgian yeast is a little dominant, it is tempered in the finish by the grassy bitter hops, citrus notes, and a fresh cereal medley that round this out beautifully. the yeast is most intense in the nose, mild cotton candy, white pepper, and dried pineapple all seem distinct to me. the hops are a little fruity too, but come on more in the taste than the smell. the malt base is appreciably light, but i can taste the pils through it all very clearly. i love the way it all comes together, tastes extremely fresh, and iss carbonated like a belgian beer should be, really excitedly. modern times is doing some great stuff, and for a belgian pale that is both yeasty and hoppy, this drinks very mildly overall. quality beer from start to finish, but you have to like the estery yeasts to enjoy this one i would think...

Pretty normal blonde. Nothing over the top but still decent. Easy sipper. Decent yeast smell. Nice golden color with normal head. I would buy again since its reasonably priced.

Clear golden pour with a small white head. Grainy and yeasty aroma. Taste follows the nose with yeast flavors upfront backed by pepper, cracker, clove, and spice flavors.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a medium golden amber with a one finger white head with great retention and lots of lacing. Aroma of bready malt, apples, coriander and clove, Belgian yeast and slight lemon. Flavor is bready malt, apple and pear, light stone fruit, clove, hints of honey and lemon. Finishes with lingering fruit esters and clove, slightly sweet. Medium bodied with good creaminess and mouth feel. A very nicely made domestic Belgian style pale ale. Great fruit flavors with mild apple esters. Spicing is authentic and well handled. Very nice.

Picked this up on a recent trip to the new Trader Joe’s on campus. Had seen it in stores before, but was waiting for it to become available at TJ’s for the price deal. Actually really looking forward to it.
Poured a straw clear color with two fingers of frothy off-white head. Lots of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Bad watery lacing. Decent retention. (Sight - 3.25)
Initial smell reminded me of a Belgian Pale Ale, Saison and Pilsner, all wrapped into one. Specifically smelled cloves, green grapes, earthy grass, cereal, Belgian yeast, herbal, Belgian spice, touch of skunkiness and lemon zest. Had me wanting to try it for sure. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste was more refreshing than I thought it would be. Got juicy green grapes, touch of apple, lemony grass, Belgian yeast, cloves, herbal and cereal. (Taste - 4.00)
Light body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Clean, crisp finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was a delicious beer for the style. So clean and refreshing. Could kill a growler of this quickly. (Overall - 4.00)
