An IPA created with generous amounts of wheat and a mountain of Experimental 331, Mosaic, and Amarillo hops, Geodesic is at once assertive, complex, and massively refreshing, with big resinous flavors and aromas complemented by a boatload of tropical fruit character. It's an intensely delicious combo that handily maintains the difficult balance of intriguing complexity and serious crushability. We feel really good about selling it to you.

Malts: Two Row, Flaked Wheat, White Wheat, Raw Wheat.
Hops: Experimental Hop 331, Mosaic, Amarillo.

Taster at BitterCreek. Hazy golden, small skin of head, lacing coats the glass. Lovely. Subdued hoppy aroma. Taste picks up with some up front bitterness, malts, citrus notes. Mild funky, earthy notes.

Picked up a bomber from TW Arrowhead 12-17-17 for $8.99. Bottled on 11-2-17.

Beer poured golden with a nice white head that is leaving lacing behind.

Nose has hints of wheat malt base with tropical and floral hops.

Taste is mango with some sour orange highlighted with a bitter goose berry finish.

Mouthfeel is very good, light to medium bodied and very refreshing.

Overall a good beer to try, would not purchase again at the price point.

Was way behind the game on Modern Times’ November release and didn’t pick it up until Dec. 26 with a bottled on date of Nov. 2. Probably about as long (six weeksish) as I’d want to try an IPA. But I’d tried the other 10 so far this month, so had to keep the streak going. Bottle reads, “An IPA created with generous amounts of wheat and a mountain of Experimental 331, Mosaic, and Amarillo hops, Geodesic is at once assertive, complex, and massively refreshing, with big resinous flavors and aromas complemented by a boatload of tropical fruit character. It's an intensely delicious combo that handily maintains the difficult balance of intriguing complexity and serious crushability. Poured a gold clear color with two fingers of frothy white head. Slow moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Excellent uneven layered lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.25)

Smelled dish soap, floral, Mosaic, mixed berry, sugary wheat, light toffee malts, lemon zest, iced tea, hints of rye, light menthol, grapefruit, pineapple and more tropical notes. Almost more pale ale like qualities in the nose than IPA. Might have even guessed a NE Style beer if I wasn’t looking at it before either. (Smell - 4.00)

Tasted a bit hoppier than the nose. Still very sweet. Specifically got floral, dry Mosaic, mixed berry, sugary wheat, lemon zest, iced tea, grapefruit, pineapple, oats, some Amarillo, dish soap, lime and some dankness. Still had some NE Style qualities. (Taste - 4.00)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, sugary finish. (Feel - 3.75)

This was outstanding and is leaning more toward a New England Style beer, minus the haze. Malt bill really dominates here. Just a tad too sweet overall. (Overall - 4.00)

Pours a golden red with lots of foamy head

Big nose....wheat, melon notes (think fresh honeydew), some dank fruit. This one is making me scratch my head....still something I can’t place. Unique.

Tastes of melon, a bit of honey, some herbal pine characteristics

Smooth, silky, moderate carbonation. Full body. No real bitterness

Really an interesting beer. I’d drink again.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a fine, two finger white head with great retention and a thick layer of lacing. Aroma of pale malt, mild wheat, citrus and dank hops, light mixed tropical fruit and grapefruit. Flavor is lightly sweet malt, almost like a rice malt, citrus and lightly piney hops, guava and pineapple, lemon, developing an unusual mixed dried tropical fruit element with a hint of toffee. Finishes with moderate, but lightly resinous citrus and tropical fruit hops with a little citrus rind. Medium bodied with a good light creaminess. The malt in Geodesic is unexpected, not really wheaty, although that is the dominant grain base. There is a oat-like body and flavor depth I like a lot, but did not expect. The hop bill is interesting, with elements of NE style tropical fruit as well as citrus and a touch of pine. I got a little dankness in the aroma, but not so much in flavor, which for my taste is common. I lean towards a deep malt for my hopped ales, but this one has great mouth feel and unexpected grain flavors that transcend a normal wheat IPA base. Overall interesting, hoppy and refreshing. Enjoyable.

Golden amber color with an attractive pile of white foam in the Piraat tulip. Very fragrant. It does smell like Citra hops but there is definitely another dimension of aroma in this stuff. I forget about the wheat, but it is somehow totally appropriate here. Another mystery and feather in the MT cap.

Pineapple, lime sherbert, a whiff of incense. I wouldn't call it dank like some of the herbal tea concoctions. There is also something oddly smoky about this too. Bitterness is quite moderate. Can't get over that aroma. Somebody give me some better adjectives. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Barons Market on West Point Loma. I'll be looking for more of this.
