This hazy DIPA is loaded with Simcoe, Citra, and Amarillo hops for an outrageously enjoyable profile replete with tropical fruit, citrus, and liquid goodwill.

Sampling a cold 16 oz can from 2020 poured into my snifter. The beer pours a hazy goldenrod color with several active streams of carbonation rising towards the surface. A creamy bleached white head of .5 cm rests effortlessly on the top of the glass.
The aroma of the beer is lots of citrus notes with orange and tangerine and a bit of pineapple. Generally sweet fruitiness with hints of bready malt buried under the citrus hops. Not really any hint of the 8.5% ABV on the nose.
First sip reveals a lighter textured body than expected and fine gentle, rolling carbonation. The beer feels very smooth on my palate and drinks easy. FLavors are slightly unripe pineapple, orange pulp, some mango, and then a hit of biting orange rind. The bite at the finish dries out my palate and encourages me to take another sip. I dont get a lot of malt balance, and the booze is well hidden.
This is a nice citrusy IPA, and while it is hazy, it is clearer than many I have seen.
Glad to have tried this one, would do it again.

Yes, it's hazy and bright yellow, but not opaque. Intensely fruity with tangerine aroma and orange peel taste. some mango and then a bit of grapefruit at the finish. Moderately bitter with some acidic, hop soup in the aftertaste. Some alcohol heat, but not in the taste.

Fairly sweet in the "milkshake" style, but it also has plenty of fruity tang. Overall it's less of a murk bomb than many hazies. Still, it's a hot flash of flavor that takes over whatever taste buds you may still have. From the 16 oz can shipped from MT. This one is dated 01/04/20.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a two inch, well retained white head that left ample lacing. Smells of tropical and citrus fruit along with a bit of grass. Tastes of sweet orange peach, mango, pineapple, stone fruit and some grass. Light bitterness, medium bodied and carbonated, soft and creamy mouth feel.

Sweet, orange citrus and tropical hoppy nose on this one! Taste follows with a subtle citrus vibe and hint of dank notes. This is a little thin for a double IMO.

Canned 4/14/19
L: Murky golden yellow with 2 fingers of a bubbly white cap. Heaps of residual lacing coating the glass.
S: Peach, melon, mango, pineapple and slight grass presence on the nose. Smells juicy, sweet and inviting with a touch of crackery yeast depth.
T: Tropical juice bomb, leaning heavily on mango, pineapple and papaya. Finish is semi-sweet with lingering flavors or apricot, malts, melon and a touch of black pepper and lemon.
F: Soft, smooth and creamy. Medium in body and weight but embodies a lush, soft feel. Moderate amounts of carbonation for the style.
O: A highly enjoyable offering, and one I'd gladly revisit. Modern Times has been knocking it out of the park with their NEIPAs lately, and I don't see any reason why they should slow down. I am very grateful to have tried. Cheers!

Picked up some cans of this on a recent trip to Modern Times. Had a taster, giving it a 4.25 on Untappd and writing, “Gave last year’s a 4. Seems more like a 4.25 today.” By last year, it was Feb. 20, 2018 while with Nick. Untappd description was, “The second edition of this beloved 8.5% hazy DIPA is loaded with staggering quantities of Simcoe, Citra, and Amarillo hops for an outrageously juicy profile replete with tropical fruit, citrus, and liquid goodwill.”

Poured a golden hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Could see some bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class spiderweb foamy lacing. Almost perfect retention. (Sight - 4.75)

Smelled Simcoe for sure right away. Also papaya, orange juice, stone fruit, Amarillo, Citra, pineapple, mango and floral. More Simcoe from the can. (Smell - 4.25)

Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose. Big Simcoe and Amarillo, with Citra far behind. Also stone fruit, papaya, orange juice, pineapple, guava, mango and melon. (Taste - 4.00)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Dry finish. (Feel - 4.25)

Might have overrated this a tad, but this was excellent overall. (Overall - 4.25)

16oz can, MT Monster's Park glass. Pours a cloudy, pulpy orange body, slight yellow hue, one finger thick and frothy white head, good retention, plenty of lacing. Smell is bursting with grapefruit, citrus, herbal resin, a bit of papaya, light sugar and caramel, a bit of sweet oatmeal as well. The hops are strong here, and definitely give this a big juicy quotient. Flavour follows; light sugar backbone that is trellised with a big grapefruit and orange presence, light hop burn, less of the herbal resin and more of a spicy floral finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation, easy drinking with minimal bitterness.

16 oz can into a pint glass

Brew has a cloudy, orange-brown appearance with almost no head. Wafts of earthy pineapple rind and mango are bracketed by grassy tones. Follows with big tropical bursts on the palate, juicy sweet with enough snappy hops to balance. Full-bodied, oily complexion ushers in a medium long finish with lingering tropical nuances.

Probably the best NE IPA MT has come up with. Really tasty brew.
