Ready your taste-buds for an arrestingly delicious flavor experience that’s as unique as it is awesome. We began this utterly delightful IPA with a grain bill of 2-row, malted oats, flaked oats, white wheat malt, and a touch of flaked rye. Then, we added massive amounts of Citra, Amarillo, and Mosaic hops followed by a generous helping of vanilla. Finally, just to be ridiculous, we added huge quantities (understatement) of blood orange & pineapple to create a creamy, indulgent spectacle of citrus and tropical fruit that’s going to go full-on HAM on your taste buds.

Murky, gold beer with a tall, light beige head. Big curtain of lacing. Aroma is mainly pineapple and vanilla but there is noticeable sweetness and some floral/piney hops in there as well. Tastes sweet with a bitter finish but there is an aftertaste of baby aspirin which throws it off a bit for me.

Went to Modern Times Lomaland to pick up my 4-pack cans of Hedge Witch and Temple of Ruin, but also walked out with a 4-pack of Mist Dragon and this, and single cans of a pair of imperial stouts. Welp. Made that decision after having a taster of it, giving it a 4 and writing, “Like orange creamsicle in a glass. Outstanding, close to excellent. Probably in 4.15-to-4.20 range.” Email description read, “Ready your taste-buds for an arrestingly delicious flavor experience that’s as unique as it is awesome. Poured a golden hazy color with 3-to-4 fingers of frothy white head. Fast moving bubbles coming up along the side of the glass. World-class spiderweb foamy lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled orange creamsicle, orange blossom, vanilla, Mosaic, blood orange, Amarillo, pineapple, guava, mango and marshmallow. From the can got mainly vanilla, blood orange and Citra. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste followed the nose nicely. Almost as good. Got vanilla, orange creamsicle, blood orange, orange blossom, Amarillo, Mosaic, floral, guava, mango, pineapple, marshmallow and some Citra. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, creamy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was excellent for a milkshake IPA. Glad I picked up some cans of this. (Overall - 4.25)

Canned 03/04/19, 187.
Lightly pale golden color with a soft quarter inch of white foam that settles quickly back into the glass. Lace retention is pretty heavy and leaves large residual layers of sticky foam on the inside of the glass.
Lots of initial pineapple and floral hops on the nose, but really opens up into very aromatic vanilla and citrus as it warms slightly. The sweet and citrusy combine for mango aromas, really creating a nice overall profile. Pineapple definitely shines here, though.
Nice tartness greats the palate initially, full of orange and pineapple flavors. Overripe tropical fruits are identifiable, with only subtle hints of vanilla. Really fruity, tasty flavors, with that vanilla serving more as a creaminess that cuts through that citrus acidity.
Soft, smooth, creamy, but with that tartness and sharp carbonation helping to create a nice "texture" to the mouthfeel. Finishes with a mildly sticky mouth-coating.

Gifted from a friend in California.....juicy, creamy, citrusy... Modern Times knocks these out of the park and this one is no different... crammed full of orange-pineapple juice flavor and aroma... super tasty stuff and one I would keep in the fridge if I could....
