Our brew-wizards have summoned forth a hazy DIPA of the highest caliber to commemorate our new Santa Barbara party-pad, the Academy of Recreational Sciences. This thunderously flavorful beverage is positively stuffed with almost reckless amounts of Mosaic, Nelson, and Galaxy hops, and is as easy on the taste buds as the can is on the eyes.

Pretty much knew I was going to order this when I saw the cool can and the name. Then saw the hop profile and I was in, despite the price of $23.75 for a 4-pack. The email description read, “Our brew-wizards have summoned forth a hazy DIPA of the highest caliber to commemorate our new Santa Barbara party-pad, the Academy of Recreational Sciences. Poured a hazy light golden color with two fingers of frothy white head. Could see a few bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Outstanding spotty lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled the mentioned hops right away in order Mosaic, Nelson and Galaxy. Also viney berry, floral, rose blossom, peach, mango, pine, herbal and tropical passion fruit. Even better out of the can with the hops once again shining through, mainly Mosaic and Nelson. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted even better than the nose. Got Nelson, Mosaic, Galaxy, viney berry, tropical passion fruit, peach, floral, rose blossom, mango, white grape, pine and herbal. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, dry, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
An excellent hazy beer. Only nitpick is just a little hop burn, but excellent nonetheless. (Overall - 4.25)
