L- Hazy, lite orange with cotton ball head.
S- mangoe, tangerine, malt.
T- nice oaty base. Nice balance makes this a smooth operator. Plenty of juicy, citrus fruits. The star is that oaty, malt finish.
O- this one is a little different with that balance and enjoyable oat base.

Modern Times doesn't proliferate and distribute much into Salt Lake City, but their core staples are here, and pretty good. I don't remember having the Star Cloud when I was living in San Diego, but it fits Modern Times' skill set very well. Cloudy and hazy, it looks like every other hazy brew, but the smell suggests something more delicate and refined, with cotton candy and angel food cake. Same with the flavor, which plays with all the positive attributes of a hazy without being weird, vegetal, too heavy, or too grainy. Another piece of art for MT.

 

Look: Poured from pint can into pint glass. Pours mango orange with a thin white head. Pretty good retention and lacing as well. Beautiful beer.

Smell: I’m getting tangerine, mango, lemon, and some floral undertones. Nice mix of citrus fruits.

Taste: Very juicy with hints of fruits that match the nose. Mildly bitter.

Feel: Light mouthfeel, semi-dry finish. The mix of hops is a really good blend, and the whole beer just goes down easy.

Overall: Great offering by MT. They almost always hit and this is no different - highly recommend this one for spring or summer.

Fantastic Hazy IPA - well done MT

A hazy orange color with a big fluffy white head. Plenty of lace.
Citrus aroma primarily. A little bit of tropical fruit.
Strong taste of lime. Some tangerine, some melon.
Juicy, not hoppy.
A pleasant beer.

 

 

 

Star Cloud pours an orange and pineapple juicy color with a big head that leaves nice lacing, from a can dated 4/12/21 stamped BLACK LIVES MATTER. It doesn't have a strong aroma and is just rather light with the citrus but otherwise it's pretty much all hops resembling an IPA. The taste is very citrus and hoppy with mild bitterness. A bit more hoppy and a bit less fruity. Overall an outstanding blend. Special Thanks to @RaulMondesi for sharing.

 

 

 

 

Pours a slight hazed golden yellow color. Smell is tropical with citrus berries and melon. Taste is floral citrus with light berries some herbal menthol garden hops. A soft and sweet mouth feel no bitterness and minimal dryness, its fruity and tasty very drinkable .
