This lupulin-laden party champion is a 10% detonation of Galaxy, Amarillo, and Simcoe hops. It’s a beautiful blend of tropical character and stone fruit underscored by subtle notes of fresh pine, and we think it’s going to put a big ol’ smile on that face of yours.

Ordered three 4-packs of a special release, including this one. Was kind of bummed I didn’t pick up some other the other Extraordinary Times beers, so was happy to jump on this one. The email described this as, “This lupulin-laden party champion is a 10% detonation of Galaxy, Amarillo, and Simcoe hops. It’s a beautiful blend of tropical character and stone fruit underscored by subtle notes of fresh pine, and we think it’s going to put a big ol’ smile on that face of yours.” Big fan of Simcoe and Amarillo, and Galaxy has been growing on me.

Poured a light amber hazy color with three fingers of frothy off-white head. Lots of fast moving bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.75)

Smelled big notes of Galaxy right away, followed by passion fruit, papaya, Simcoe, tangerine, orange, Amarillo, pine, herbal, sweet onion, grapefruit, lemon and grapefruit. More Simcoe and grapefruit from the can. (Smell - 4.25)

First thought on the taste was that it didn’t quite taste 10 pct. For mentioned hops, in order Galaxy, Simcoe and Amarillo. Also passion fruit, papaya, bitter pine, herbal, peppery spice, tangerine, orange, sweet onion, grapefruit, lemon zest, melon and hints of cantaloupe. Last thought was that 10 pct. ABV came in hard late. (Taste - 4.25)

Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, dry finish. Still fairly smooth for a TIPA. (Feel - 4.25)

This was excellent for a triple IPA. Probably only one tonight, but still excellent. (Overall - 4.25)
