This infinitely sessionable hazy pale was loaded to the rafters with Galaxy, Strata and Simcoe hops. This killer combo of North American hops yields a super-choice amalgam of berries, citrus, & stone fruit underscored by ultra-refreshing notes of pine. It’s a pretty excellent way to approach a balmy summer afternoon.

Grabbed a tall boy can of this with a host of others for the second special release of July by Modern Times. Was not my first choice, but picked one up after Sonny got one too. Email description read, “This infinitely sessionable hazy pale was loaded to the rafters with Galaxy, Strata and Simcoe hops. This killer combo of North American hops yields a super-choice amalgam of berries, citrus, & stone fruit underscored by ultra-refreshing notes of pine. It’s a pretty excellent way to approach a balmy summer afternoon.” That is a killer hop combo.

Poured a golden hazy color with four fingers of rocky white head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 5.00)

Got all three hops on the first sniff, in order Simcoe, Galaxy and Strata. Also papaya, dank pine, weed, grapefruit, passion fruit, apricot and stone fruit. More dankness from the can. (Smell - 4.25)

The taste wasn’t quite as good, but still solid. Galaxy, papaya, dank pine, weed, passion fruit, Simcoe, grapefruit, apricot, peach, stone fruit and Strata. (Taste - 4.00)

Medium body. Average carbonation. Creamy texture. Abrupt, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)

This was an outstanding beer. Glad I picked one up. (Overall - 4.00)

Cloudy yellowish brew with adequate foam in the tulip. Quite bitter in a medicinal and herbal way. The aroma is perky lemon-lime. Flavors of lemon and unripe papaya, followed by the bitter sludge. Very acidic with an overall mouthfeel I'd call ghastly. Hops, sadly wasted here, are listed as Strata, Galaxy, and Simcoe.

Totally gunky sensations and the nagging tickle in the back of my throat is aggravating. One more sip and it goes down the drain. Well, maybe two more. This is about my least favorite recent MT brews. From the July sale picked up at the brewery. Packaged in the 19.2 oz tall can dated 07/16/2020 on the bottom.
