The first of its name, this fruit-frenzy is the inaugural variation in a forthcoming series of tropically influenced Berliner Weisses. We added gobs & gobs of strawberries & limes, whose titillating tartness is masterfully balanced by heaps of decadent coconut & vanilla, yielding an surpassingly sippable, pale pink 6.8% beverage. While your physical person may be landlocked for the time being, your taste buds can board this flight to their very own private island.

Glass: Karl Strauss 26th anniversary .25L tulip
Price: $21.50 for a 4-pack
From: Modern Times Lomaland in Point Loma (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Aug. 22, 2020; Picked up Sept. 2, 2020
Consumed: Sept. 3, 2020
Misc.: Canned on Aug. 6, 2020
Ordered this back on Aug. 22, 2020 on one of the Saturday special releasees. Picked it up Sept. 2 and was looking forward to trying it the following day. Their email called this, “The first of its name, this fruit-frenzy is the inaugural variation in a forthcoming series of tropically influenced Berliner Weisses. Poured a light amber mostly hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of off-white frothy head. Could see just a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Excellent spotty lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled coconut, vanilla, strawberry, strawberry milkshake, lime zest, strawberry blossom and floral notes. Much of the same from the can with coconut leading the way. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted a little better than the nose. In order got coconut, vanilla, strawberry, strawberry milkshake, lime, citrus zest, strawberry blossom and floral. Coconut up front and finishing with coconut, with everything else in between. (Taste - 4.25)
Light body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was outstanding overall. Glad I got a 4-pack of this. (Overall - 4.00)
