Collaboration with Alvarado Street
We originally joined forces with our friends at Alvarado Street to cook up this massively flavorful hazy DIPA, and this time around, we’ve significantly upped the ante via a liberal dry-hopping of some extremely choice Nelson hops. This 8% mega-refresher boasts a big, bright tropical bouquet and notes of citrus & gooseberry, making for essentially the perfect summer bookend.

Misc.: Canned on Sept. 4, 2020
Ordered this on Sept. 5 in the first Saturday special release of September. Really was in when I saw that it was a collab with Alvarado. Email description called it, “We originally joined forces with our friends at Alvarado Street to cook up this massively flavorful hazy DIPA, and this time around, we’ve significantly upped the ante via a liberal dry-hopping of some extremely choice Nelson hops. Poured a medium yellow hazy color with three fingers of frothy off-white head. Could see some bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Excellent uneven, foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled big Nelson, mango, gooseberry, mixed berry, dank pine, black pepper, white grape, tangerine rind and hints of pineapple. Even better out of the can with Nelson, mango rind and black pepper leading the way. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste was almost as good as the nose. In order got Nelson, earthy dank pine, spicy black pepper, mango rind, gooseberry, viney mixed berry, white grape, tangerine, orange juice and hints of pineapple. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.50)
This was excellent overall. Just what I wanted out of a dry-hopped Nelson IPA. (Overall - 4.25)
