Brewed to commemorate our rooftop party-lair in Portland, this hazy juice-beast was loaded with massive amounts of Galaxy, Nelson, Citra, & Amarillo. The result of this extremely choice hop-combo is a beer bursting with peach, passionfruit, pineapple, & mango, rounded out with notes of bright, fresh citrus. Prepare to be ensorcelled.

Consumed: Sept. 11, 2020
Misc.: Canned on Sept. 2, 2020
Ordered this on Sept. 5 in the first Saturday special release of September. Was really looking forward to this one. Email description read, “Brewed to commemorate our rooftop party-lair in Portland, this hazy juice-beast was loaded with massive amounts of Galaxy, Nelson, Citra, & Amarillo. The result of this extremely choice hop-combo is a beer bursting with peach, passionfruit, pineapple, & mango, rounded out with notes of bright, fresh citrus. Prepare to be ensorcelled.”
Poured a hazy pale yellow color with three fingers of rocky white head. Could see just a few bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. World-class uneven foamy lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled big Galaxy, followed by Nelson, and then then much lesser Citra and Amarillo. Also passion fruit, peach skin, apricot, dank pine, white grape, tangerine rind, pineapple, stone fruit, mango, papaya, peppery spice and grapefruit. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted just as good as the nose. Both the nose and the taste here should be higher than a 4.25, but can’t quite pull a 4.50. Back in the day I just called it a 4.375 by manipulating some of the overall ratings on my excel sheet, but I dropped that awhile ago and put everything back to 0.25 increments. Anyway, back to the beer. Like the nose, Galaxy led the way followed by Nelson. A little more Amarillo for third with Citra bringing up the rear. Specific notes of passion fruit, papaya, peach skin, apricot, dank pine, peppery spice, white grape, tangerine rind, stone fruit, mango, grapefruit and melon. Was getting all the 8 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.00)
This was a really good beer overall. I underrated this slightly, but excellent at least. (Overall - 4.25)
