If you're in the market for pure liquid indulgence, look no further. We loaded this already-delicious imperial stout with heaps of toasted coconut, cocoa nibs, and vegan marshmallow, resulting in a glorious eruption of rich, chocolaty dessert flavors. It's a pretty excellent way to treat yourself after a long week—or just a particularly mind-numbing Zoom meeting.

12 oz. can. Inky black. Smells of coconut, chocolate, and roasted malt. Tastes of sharp chocolate and coconut, lots of booze. Turns quite sweet in the back end. Lots of coconut throughout. Heavy, but not undrinkably sweet. Good.

Grabbed a can of this after picking up some other beers on a recent trip to Modern Times. Online description called this, “If you’re in the market for pure liquid indulgence, look no further. Poured a pitch black color with 1-to-2 fingers of khaki tan head. Just a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Excellent spotty lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled toasted coconut, milk chocolate, cocoa, dark fruit, vanilla, marshmallow, bitter dark chocolate, cacao and hints of black coffee. Much of the same from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted even better than the nose. Wow. This is damn good. In order got toasted coconut, toasted marshmallow, vanilla, cacao, milk chocolate, roasted coffee and a touch of char wood. (Taste - 4.50)
Full body. Sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 5.00)
Just a fantastic beer. So damn good. (Overall - 4.50)

While I was a bit eager to try this I was bit disappointed. This lacked coconut and marshmallow and was just a boozy chocolate tasting stout. I think if the coconut stood out a bit more this would have been more of my liking. If you are into slightly sweet chocolate stouts this is your vibe. Although not my favorite still a very easy to drink stout for a night in wouldnt hurt at all.

Blind review:
12 oz can poured into a tulip
A- Black with a small mocha head. 4
S- Chocolate, dark fruits, some vanilla/oak, slightly nutty, touch of bourbon, some caramel malts. 4.5
T- Chocolate, some roasted coffee, hints of caramel malts, oak, a little nutty, bourbon, dark fruits. 4.5
M- Smooth, full body 4.5
O- A tasty Imperial stout and easy to drink. Nice big flavors. 4.5
Might be a barrel aged Black is Beautiful, but I’m not really sure.
After thoughts:
No change to numbers but the nuttiness and vanilla actually ended up being coconut and marshmallow. Both marshmallow and coconut are hard for me to pin point but once I know they are a part of the beer a lot of flavors seem to come into place.
