This herculean feat of haze-craft is an IPA of singular bomb-diggityness, packed to the rafters with Galaxy and El Dorado hops, and just enough Simcoe to tie the room together. The result of this lupulin-laden trifecta is an unquestionably choice adult beverage that explodes with thunderous notes of juicy peach flesh, bright citrus, ripe mango, and stone fruit. It’s a breathtaking bouquet that’s going to ignite your sensory synapses in a rapturous conflagration of pure pleasure.

Pint can dated 3/18/22: pale cottony light gold, uniformly hazy, translucent. Big blast of stone fruit and mango with the first sip but not frooty. Simcoe seems to be the dominant hop variety, but the haze takes the edge off it. Fine-grained white head that thins out but leaves a ring of lacing, easy to drink. Overall delicious and has character. I would buy this again.

Canned 5/5/21. Consumed 7/28/21. Pours a dark(ish) orange with voluminous fluffy white head about 2-3 fingers high in a tall tulip glass. Pretty opaque, but not sludgy or overly thick in appearance in the glass; no suspended solids, just a nice solution. Some lacing but nothing totally noteworthy. Some fruit smell upon opening and pouring. Similar flavor although nothing so distinct or overt as to support an unequivocal identification of a specific fruit. Medium body with nice smooth carbonation that is on the low to moderate side as far as mouthfeel goes. Overall every pleasant to drink but not the best coming from Modern Times.

Pours a very cloudy, opaque, golden color with a finger-width foamy head. Head retention is excellent. Lacing is very good. Mild tropical and lemon aroma. I detect a little bit of piney resin. I get a lot of lemon on the taste with some mild tropical flavors. There is an acidic bitterness with a hint of piney resin. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation.

Poured from a tall boy into my Bruery tulip.

Opaque, deep saffron liquid supports a finger of papaya whip suds. Sloppy/sticky lacing; good retention.

Tangerine, mango, and some spicy herbal notes in the nose. Maybe some faint candied pear.

Distinct pineapple from El Dorado along with an almost catty/minty element and some orange kissed scallions presumably from Simcoe? Medium-low bitterness, hop forward with good body from the malt profile. Neutral yeast, and a medium-dry finish.

Creamy, not quite chalky mouthfeel. Somewhat sticky.

Good NEIPA, though not outstanding.

Draft at Benchwarmers. Cloudy golden pour with a thin white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, stone fruit, melon with some bready malts. taste is more of the biscuit malts, woody hops, pine and light fruity notes.

Can poured into a Modern Times Beer glass

A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces beautifully.

S: Tropical and orchard fruit, melon, citrus, a little pine, faintly grassy, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

T: Opens with a mix of orchard and tropical fruit, apricot, peach, pear, watermelon, pineapple, mango, and passion fruit, spicy pine, citrus, tangerine, lemon, and grapefruit, a bit grassy, biscuity malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: Not in love with this one. Not big on some of the fruits that the El Dorado brings to the table, and the pine from the Simcoe comes on too strong and throws off the balance. Still drinkable, but I won't be reaching for a second.

Pint can poured into a pint glass. Pours a hazy golden orange with a half inch of off white foam. Strong hop notes with some citrus and muddled mango notes along with some dank notes. Solid but a touch subdued.

Taste follows with a creamy texture of muddled fruits and more citrus concentrated on the back side. Perky carbonation and a light/medium but distinct bitter profile on the finish. Feel is overly soft in a wheat sense but not really astray of the style. Overall a solid take.

Note: Canned on 5/12/21
