This West-Coast style marvel of IPA wizardry was built on a base of 2-row, Vienna malt, and white wheat before receiving a massive payload of Comet, Cashmere, El Dorado, and Amarillo Hops. Vibrant notes of grapefruit collide in the most delightful way imaginable with a profusion of pineapple, stone fruit, mango, and lemon/lime, creating a symphony of crisp, fruity refreshment that more than warrants its increased can size.

I’m loving these stovepipe cans. Just enough and usually too much all in one package. Had this all to myself.
Pours clear. West coast classic. Low aroma, lots of pine and pith on the sip. Drying finish, with a moderate bitterness. More of this please.

pours a near-clear dark gold body with a white foam head that has high retention and leaves a high amount of thick sudsy lacing behind as it settles to a murky cap with big defined halo
aroma is big and sweet and hoppy with a dash of spicy earthiness
taste sweet and hoppy as well, somewhat grassy, a little spice, and a ton of fruit. pineapple and mango, crisp apple, and a very clear hit of lemon lime spritz.
mouthfeel is high carbonation and medium-light body that runs smooth and pillowed before finishing dry and crisp and leaving a pleasantly semi-bitter hop aftertaste with a lime tinge to it
overall:
fan-freaking-tastic. insanely drinkable, insanely flavorful, insanely enjoyable. it has the ease of a session'r and the complexity of a top tier IPA. the balance is sublime. love it

500ml can from Brewers Haven. Almost clear golden pour with a small foamy white head. Aroma is light citrusy notes, white pepper. Taste begins with a hit of sweetness, then turns over to grassy, spicy hops with some tangerine in the background. A bit confusing.

Aroma was very sweet, lots of maltiness almost like candy fruit. Mouthfeel was smooth and creamy. Not much floral or pure fruitiness coming through on the overall nose maybe some cherry notes. Taste is very sticky sweet butterscotch, tastes like an East Coast IPA given the heavy body. Not sure what the game plan was here but I would not consider this a West Coast DIPA. Interesting offering from Modern Times but nothing earth shattering.

24oz can "Black Lives Matter" and a date on the bottom
Lots of fine sediment, big fluffy head, great tropical pine and fruit burst out at you when the can is cracked. Very drinkable, and I actually taste the "lemon/lime". Extra points for that alone
Great stuff and great deal, I hope it stays

Copper-colored beer, modest off-white head, some lace.
Aroma of tropical fruit, citrus fruit, a hint of pine, and sweet malt.
Taste of pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, lime, and peach. Late pine taste.
Medium-bodied. Easy drinking beer.

Modern West Coast DIPA where the tropical fruit is out in front of the citrus (and super subtle pine). Gorgeous appearance, vibrant copper with almost 2 fingers of frothy white head with good retention. Brings restrained bitterness, medium bodied with medium-high carbonation, lively on the tongue for the body.
I don't drink many DIPAs these days, but this was a nice clean WC recipe from Modern Times (who seem to do mostly haze these days, Dungeon Map being the main exception).
