Look - red auburn color with a very slight head
Smell - smells more like a framboise instead of a saison. Slight very more vinegar
Taste - a little vinegary but more cherry than the smell
Feel - medium light body and carb
Overall - not that great

Poured from a 32oz growler into a Rhinegeist tulip glass.
Color is a beautiful red/pink. Head is thin and dissipates quickly.
Smells of tart and cherries.
Taste follows suit, fruity and tart but not overwhelming.
Feels light to medium body with medium carbonation.
Overall, this beer is quite refreshing. The fruit and sour flavors are balanced and tasty, but not intense. Saison is not a style that I am as familiar with, so I can't say how true to the style this beer is, but I did enjoy it and will drink it again.

Probably not a terrific beer by most standards but it is pretty tasty, refreshing and drinkable. Pours pink and smells faintly of a funky saison with cherries. The taste is tart but not over the top sour. I liked this beer and would probably drink this again. It resembles a saison just enough to be considered slightly funky.

Very wheaty, beautiful color, lightly sweet fruity nose. Good saison, not a great cherry saison.

"Chester the cherry beer" -as cheeky as its name suggests, the summery creation from Rhinegeist uses the original summer beer in Belgian-style saison and uses the sour cherries that are so famed in many of those saison-making regions.
Chester pours with the expected hazy straw color, but with a light cherry pink stain to suggest the beer's uniqueness. Its light cherry aura offers a robust tang to the nose with an drift of pepper, dried fruit peels and dry bread. Grainy-sweet on the tongue, its wafer-thin maltiness is short on sweetness, drying as soon as the malt hits the mouth.
Dry pilsner flavors highlight the beer's cereal-like taste ahead of the cherry character that rapidly builds. As the supple fruit washes over the palate, it carries a tangy, tart character. But its cherry additions never overshadow the pepper-forward balance and underlying fruit esters that the yeast commonly provide. Light apple, lemon and pear drift below, bringing a light winey zest.
The light-bodied saison springs to life as its dry and terse maltiness thwarts its carbonation in turbulent and militant fashion, giving the ale a sparkling mineral water finish with cherry skin, grain and iron. Still, a tangy and peppery flavor outlasts all others in a quick aftertaste.
