From the growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate and enjoyed in a snifter.
This decent saison pours an amber tinged golden color with a nice head
of white foam that subsides to a thick ring, subtle light layer, and shows
spotty lacing. Nose of citrus heavy hops, subtle yeasty esters, and
subtle spice with a touch of Belgian pale candy malt. Flavors ever
so lightly exceed the nose with a lightly earthy honey malt note
over a bed of citrus hops of pineapple and subtle pine with a touch
of grapefruit. Cracker and white pepper intermingle nicely with a
touch of herbal notes and mild honey malts. Nice mouth feel; medium
light body, medium carbonation, and a citrus hop and light white pepper
heavy finish.
Overall, a nice saison that is unique in it's own way.
Brewed with Dupont yeast and buckwheat honey.
Interesting.
Cheers
