A no-bake no-brainer. Crumb Cake debuted as part of our Brewers Series––a collection of one-off specialty beers created by individual members of our brew team––and quickly became a crowd favorite. Additions of coffee, vanilla and lactose give Crumb Cake a rich and creamy profile layered with streusel-inspired flavor. Crumb Cake is a seasonal release, available in cans (for the first time!) and on draft.

Amber/goldish appearance with moderate foam. Vanilla leads aroma followed by some notes of chocolate. Taste was vanilla fowarded followed by mellow chocolate . For a beer that could be classified as a desert style, Rhinegeist manages to do a good job of making this not too heavy.

Poured into a tall clear pint glass. Body is as amber color with a creamy head about more than a finger's worth.
Aroma: coffee, cinnamon, brown sugar, vanilla, lactose, caramel, apple, toast, and pecan.
Pretty much what the aroma suggests. Really tasting the lactose, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Coffee seems to act as the base for this beer, but the other notes seem to mask over it. Body is medium-light.

Poured from a twelve ounce can, the body is an amber red. Modest head that quickly recedes and a little lacing along the way.
Nose is as the name suggests, a crumb cake: cinnamon, vanilla and a bit of coffee.
Taste follow nose and things sweeten a bit from the added lactose and vanilla, but the malt and its caramel flavor hold things together. Not much hop action despite being called an imperial red. At 7% and with the malty caramel base, I consider it an amber ale.
Good mouthfeel and carbonation. Creamy feel.

Such a crazy beer with so much going on! So much coffee cinnamon and vanilla I could have sworn I was drinking a white stout but as a red ale it drank very smooth. ABV wasn't very cloying I gladly finished my can and went back the next day for more but they were gone! (shucks!) I will have to look for it again soon!

Had it at Mittenfest from the tap in my cup.
Has an interesting flavor, the coffee and vanilla are nicely balanced.
But it's too much for my taste, crosses the line for me.
