12oz canned 05/23/23 (6 weeks ago) poured into a perfect pint glass at fridge temp 6% ABV. The beer pours mostly bright with some chill haze and off white head. The head recedes to an uneven ring and leaves a few spots of lacing. The aroma is moderate in strength featuring dank and tropical fruit salad, but no sweetness. The taste is bittersweet dank hops with more vague tropical fruit that I can't pinpoint. Moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, pretty unique. Not a taste profile that I really enjoy, but not sure it's not what they intended either...

Yellow translucent amber with a very short white head.
Aroma lost on my Covid affected nose.
The taste was kinda wild, this may have been my first IPA with thiolized (sp) hops.
Had tropical fruit but not specific varieties that I could identify. The bitterness was muted but there.
The feel was quite good, crisp and refreshing.
It’s not an IPA in the traditional sense, but it’s good.

Interesting effort but a bit syrupy sweet for me. A rare miss from an otherwise outstanding brewer.

Well, Rhinegeist pulled it off ... They made a lager interesting .... Decent to look at and to smell but more importantly it tastes great .... I think this could make for a great summer sipper

This beer is a total fail. No desire to drink the remaining 5. About as refreshing as a glass of half and half, and tropical like a sweater

Why do ales get to have all the fun? Topical flavors, summery variery, beach beer and playful flavor doesn't have to stop at ale making, especially when lager is over there trapped in tradition. Rhinegeist drags the traditional German lager into the fun with their tropical take on the light beer.
Since there are no rules, Lawnchair Hotrod gets going with a mildly hazy, streaming, golden straw pour. As its light and foamy head builds in place, the scent of tropical fruit, citrus, sun tan lotion and light grasses fill the nose. Sweeter in its initial taste, hints of honey, agave and wafer bring a light grainy sweetness to the early palate.
As the sweetness fades, the juiciness of pineapple and complementary hawaiian punch flavors give a glimpse of vacation if only for the tastebuds. Grainy sweet flavors back up the fruit flavors in waited anticipation of grassy hops and their peppery bitterness for balance.
Medium bodied but trending light, the beer's off-clean grain profile carries an earthy must that links up with the fruit skin pectins for an unsettled bite in finish. We should probably leave lagers alone and let ales have all the fun after all.
