Silky dark malt flavor that's slightly toasty with a bitterswet chocolate finish and medium hop bitterness. Now made with cocoa!

A: A chocolate brown with a ruby hue. It has a light brown head.
S: has a sweetness in the aroma. I also get roasted malt, chocolate, and light coffee notes. there is hints of dark fruits.
T: a lot like the aroma. starts out with some sweet notes and finishes with a touch of bitterness. there is mostly bittersweet chocolate and roasted malt in the flavor. the bitterness reminds me of roasted malt.
M: medium-thin with good carb.
O: a good porter. nothing earth shattering, but good.

Pour: Deep, opaque coffee-color with two fingers of light tan colored head that retains well and leaves all sorts of lacing on the glass.
Aroma: Caramel and chocolate malt, coffee, dark fruit, and some earthy hops.
Taste: Almost exactly like the smell: starts off with a sweet blast of caramel malts which quickly fades into a semi-sweet chocolate malt flavor with a faint underlying note of dark fruit. Finishes up with a moderate coffee and hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied with medium to high carbonation. Very smooth.
Drinkability: A nice sipping beer.
Final Notes: A lovely, rich beer with lots of character. Wish it was year round - one of my favorite porters from any brewery.
