Hazy golden-amber color. Poured a medium-tall head that collapsed to medium sized bubbles in half a minute and a patchy skiff in a minute. Large flow of bubbles from the bottom of the glass. Left no lacing.
Light horseblanket. Light sour funk. Light sweet, floral scent. A touch of vanilla. A hint of light roasted malt. After a minute the smell was mostly the sweet floral with a light horseblanket. Swirling the glass kicked up a deeper malt and a slightly stronger horseblanket. Still had the sweet floral.
Starts with a light sour taste. Then a strong malt kicks in. An unusual, but agreeable funk builds and then grows a bit too strong. Some alcohol comes in when it warms a bit. A medium-light bitter fills in near the end. The aftertaste is a quick burst of bitters and then the funk comes back. A sweet malt shows up towards the end.
Bursts into a coarse foam that grows to larger bubbles. A light tongue tingling. Some alcohol burn. Medium body.
Generally nice, but the funk grew a bit over the top. This funk would have been okay, but it fought with the bitters towards the end and again in the aftertaste. I had this several years ago, and the notes I took at the time were much more favorable. Perhaps the recipe or the ingredients have shifted over time.

750 ml cork and cage from taproom in Vancouver.
Pours a mildly cloudy golden orange with finger of short lived white head.
Aroma of Belgian yeast - banana, clove, peach; fruity and spicy notes
Tastes of fruity Belgian yeast, slightly spicy, peach, notes of white wine, bubblegum, clove - sweetness overcomes the spice.
Medium mouth feel with brisk carbonation - refreshing with a dry finish.

Poured from the bottle into a snifter glass.
Golden pale orange, opaque with excellent carbonation. Fluffy light white head. Creamy with sheets of lace. Great looking tripel.
Neutral aroma. Solid fruity esters of orange and peach. Slight sucrose and a sense of light body on the nose
Excellent palate. Juiced up and excellent flavors of peach and wine. Sweet touches of fruit esters with mild soft herbs, somewhat sage and rosemary like. Simple malt backbone, flirts with honey but gets more white sugar in sweetness.
Real solid tripel.
