Pours a somewhat hazy deep gold color with little head, and little lacing. Aroma is a balance between hops and malts, though its hard to pick up. Mostly a malty tasting beer, a little sweet, but not that great. I'd drink this one after a long frustrating day at work and then go to work on better beers. Just not all that impressed.

Amber pour with a fairly rich hoppy smell. Medium carbonation, quite hoppy taste, but not overly so. A touch bitter for my liking of an amber, but drinkable nonetheless, and one of the better ones I tried at the San Francisco Brewing Co. which unfortunately isn't saying much...

I believe that this is incorrectly labeled as an all-malt lager in the DB. It seemed to fit all the criteria for an american amber lager or (maybe I only thought this because I was in San Francisco) a California common.
A: All of SFBC's beers are unfiltered and are served at cellar temperature. This came a cloudy amber with good head and lots of lacing.
S: There were some good florals here for a lager, a fruity malt presence, as well as the cool secrecy that I expect from lager bouquets.
T: Good malt start with a spritzy and clean hop finish. There was a slightly metallic aftertaste which undermined an otherwise tasty beer.
M: Very smooth and well-balanced overall. The medium body and medium sweetness make for a great pairing with SFBC's almond smoked ribs.
D: Refreshing. Delicious.
Overall, a solid amber lager meant to be savored in the quaint confines of SFBC's classy tap room in North Beach.

Dark gold color with a medium thick head. Not clear but with a bit of chill haze. The aroma is nicely hoppy-malty but not over strong.
Very smooth with a slight honey taste. The roasted malt flavor is evident. Nice on the tongue with the malty feel in the mouth. Pleasant after taste and easy to drink. Goes well with the bar food or just sipping at an outdoor table.

Tap@San Francisco Brewery. This was pretty lame. terrible thin corny flavour. Terrible microbrewed lager, if it was brewed by Miller or Coors, maybe i would have been more forgiving. A bland, nothing sort of lager in the end, can't say too much more about it.
