these guys are starting to get a ton of beer into cans, and it wont be long before they make up to denver i have to imagine. its generally safe but tasty beer, and this one is kind of similar. its a very mild wit. mild in the yeast, not soapy or perfumey or any of that, real subtle on the spice and fruit too, just fluffy wheat and a slightly belgian yeast strain, soft bubblegum aroma and flavor to it, maybe a hint of lemongrass, and some bittering hops. it tastes the part, but isnt way over the top, isnt even all that flavorful really. with that, its very light, very dry, and very well carbonation, exactly what i usually look for in beer fashioned as summer seasonal. more drinkable than others because it doesnt have all the yeast flavor and weight, less abrasive for sure. quite refreshing, and while its not all that different from a whole bunch of wits all over the place, i think its a solid example of an american take on the style. i see these guys more as a gateway craft brewery than anything else right now. this one should have very broad appeal...
