Classic example of an Irish Red. The complex, malt-forward red ale with notes of toffee and caramel balance with a slight bouquet of flavor and aromas.

16 oz can into a nonic pint glass.
L: Pours a clear rusty iced tea color with a 3/4" off white half-creamy head, light carbo bubbles, head recedes to froth, medium-light half back banding lines with some scattered complex lacing.
S: Caramelized malts, a hint of brown bread, a note of grains.
T: Caramelized malts, black tea, distant fruit rind, a note of brown bread in the palate, there is a gentle floral suggestion, bitterness lingers.
F: Clean medium to med-light bodied mouthfeel with a smooth medium-short moderately dry finish.
O: This is an easy drinking and satisfying Red Ale with a slightly lighter touch overall. It has a mildly bitter finish. Not a complex beer and I could easily have a second round. It is very approachable and is very good.

Clear, dark, reddish brown color; sparse carbonation yet leaves a thick, frothy, rolling sculpted head. Outstanding toasted grain and toffee notes with a slight roasted and charred malt backdrop; toasted bread crust. The taste reinforces the aroma; gentle sweetness offsets the charred grain notes; mild caramel points; sublime bitterness, perhaps more grain-related as opposed to hops. Medium body; smooth with a fine richness.
