I am normally not a fan of fruited beers but I really liked this one. Poured golden with quickly dissipating head. Smelled literally like a pint of fresh picked strawberries warmed from the sun. Fruit taste just right, not overpowering or sugar-sweet. Would buy again, the proprietor told me it's seasonal (with strawberry season of course).

Props to my buddy Pat for bringing this on a recent trip to visit the North.

A - Pours a hazy orange colour with an orange hue, thin layer of head with some retention and some sporadic lacing.

S - Fresh cut strawberries, musty grains, and doughy bread.

T - The strawberry notes dominate off the top, but aren't overly synthetic or sweet. A solid dose of wheat comes through on the finish and a lingering strawberry shortcake flavour.

M - Medium bodied, smooth and wet.

O - A solid brew that boasts heavy strawberry flavour but doesn't come across as overly synthetic or sweet. The wheat ale brings a nice backbone, while the stronger ABV goes relatively unnoticed. Well worth a try and definitely a sessionable summer patio ale.
