By the way the correct name is Me Echó La Burra Roja.
Copper reddish color with a thick beige head with medium retention.
Aroma with slighlty sour vineous and earthy notes. Hints of lemon and sulfur.
Flavor with sour notes of red grapes, mild vinegar, earth, black pepper, toasted malt, herbal hops, wood and a bit of caramel.
Dry aftertaste with a mild bitterness.
Light to medium body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 8% is absent.
This Belgian Dark Strong Ale felt to me more like a Flanders Red Ale given its sour and vinous notes, but I not sure it got contaminated as other exemplars I had from this brewery. Anyway, I am evaluating it based on a Flanders Red Ale, which she is rather decent, so not penalizing it.
