16oz can. Stamp on bottom rim of can has the date of '10/12/22'.
Dark brown colored body. Two fingers of beige colored head. Leaves behind thicker rings of lacing.
Aroma is big with coffee, roasted malts, and vanilla.
Taste continues with the coffee vibe, with an addition of vanilla. Also has a definite flavor of chocolate. Coffee and vanilla continue in the aftertaste.
Thick and silky mouth feel. Good carbonation.
Creamy and sweet porter with lots of coffee presence.

Can poured into a Russian River Brewing Co pub glass
A: Pours dark brown with a mahogany hue and a frothy beige head that settles to a firm layer and leaves some thick lacing.
S: Roasty, nice coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, earthy, a touch of char, and a little toffee sweetness.
T: Roasty, dark chocolate, quality coffee, a little char, and just a hint of smoke, nice touch of vanilla, earthy slightly herbal notes, and a bit of toffee sweetness.
M: A little on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, creamy smooth.
O: Very nice coffee porter. Vanilla adds that extra depth of flavor.

Really solid beer for the style. It’s not doing anything unique but what it’s doing is done well.
Good amount of smooth coffee all around. Mouthfeel is creamy and it’s not too thin. I could drink as couple of these.

Thanks, Chad!
Got this one from Chad on a recent work trip. Was a big New Glory mark from what I’d had before and what I’d heard, so was glad to get to try this. Everything I’d tried before had been IPAs (West Coast and hazy). Canned description called for, “Robust porter brewed with a hefty amount of flaked oats and conditioned on vanilla beans and an exclusive coffee blend from our friends at Valiant Coffee. Packaged in its purest form, unfined and unfiltered.”
Poured a pitch black color with 2-to-3 fingers of khaki tan frothy head that dissipated rather quickly. Slow moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass at different speeds, kind of looking like a snow globe. Excellent spotty lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled mocha, vanilla, caramel, toffee, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, dark fruit and chocolate milk. Pretty similar from the can as well. Tremendous on the nose. (Smell - 4.50)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose, but still really good. Got mocha, vanilla, caramel, toffee, roasty malts, milk chocolate, chocolate milk and dark fruit. (Taste - 4.25)
Full body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.75)
Just an excellent porter. Loved it. (Overall - 4.50)

Ruby brown; coffee hard candy; big toffee, hazelnuts, coffee with cream + sugar, a whack of ash to end; bitter linger, medium.
4 4 4 3.75 4
What it does, it does well. Maybe a bit thin, considering the oats. But can’t fault.

Appearance - pours dark chestnut with big fluffy light tan head with excellent retention. Lots of spotty lacing.
Aroma - Straight up roasted coffee. Light vanilla, roasted malts, malted chocolate
Taste - Great milk chocolate, mild coffee, lots of rich vanilla, roasted malts, little bit of toffee.
Feel - Medium bodied slightly creamy with a nice dry finish.
Overall - Really well done porter. I get a little more coffee on the nose than the taste but the taste is really well balanced coffee/chocolate and vanilla.

Received from @Bum4ever in NBS BIF #8. Undated 16 oz can. Reviewed 10/31/18. Thanks Josh!
Stored at 42 degrees and served at 55 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. Final temperature 60 degrees.
Appearance – 4.25.
Body – Dark brown/black, opaque. When held to the light, a bit of brown appears under the ring.
Head – Large (Maximum 5.8 cm, aggressive center pour), tan, high density, average duration, diminishing to a choppy four to eight mm ring and a thin complete layer.
Lacing – Excellent! A wide, continuous band of mostly tiny to small bubbles.
First pour – Medium brown, clear.
Aroma – 4 – Coffee with a hint of chocolate and toffee.
Flavor – 4.25 – Compared to the nose, the coffee is much more subdued but is markedly present. The chocolate and toffee are absent from the flavor. It ends with a slight coffee bitterness. No alcohol (6.5% ABV), no malt, no hops, no diacetyl, no dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 4 – Smooth, almost creamy (Due to the oatmeal), medium, soft carbonation.
Impression and interpretation – 4 – I am unable to detect the vanilla but that is probably due to my general inability to taste vanilla unless the concentration is very high. Overall, this is a good coffee porter that does not taste like coffee with grain alcohol added. The lack of maltiness is unfortunate but is balanced somewhat by the silkiness of the oat flakes.
