Dipping their toe into uncharted territory, the Blue Stallion brewers take their lager-making skills to the sour side; injecting the clean, crisp, pilsner malt-forward quaffing beer with a hearty dose of wild yeast for a clean, sour and earthen character without hindering the lager within.
Bright straw and building a fluffy head of sea foam, the lager teases the nose with citrus, sour fruit, cider and grain. To taste, its clean pilsner malt shows a short wafer-thin sweetness before dissolving and allowing the wild yeast to command the palate.
Across the middle, the lager character dissipates and its wild side shows- sour white grape, crabapple, dried lime, lemon and white grapefruit offer a moderate tartness with peps of zesty white wine and rice wine vinegar to cleanse the palate and provide a highly thirst quenching taste with an afterglow of fresh-kilned barely.
Light and bracingly sour, the lager shows premiere dryness with an aura of burlap and balsa that waft over the late palate. Its sourness ensures a highly refreshing taste that's forgivably simplistic and fundamental as a wild beer.

I found this to be slightly tangy with a wee bit of sour. Very easy to drink and quite refreshing, it holds a wheat malt, Apple, pear and lactic vinegar flavor.

There's not a category for a sour lager. This beer is a lager that was finished with Brett.
Aroma is definitely lactic, enough to make my mouth water. Grain and light floral hops pale, in comparison.
Flavor is puckeringly sour, mostly lactic and citric, but a touch acetic. The clean lager character beneath and crackery malt make an interesting contrast.
