Packing a punch of intense hop character, the brewers at Blue Stallion has stumbled upon a big ole' bag of Denali hops. In order to present this hop in its greatest glory, they use them exclusively in an imperial IPA for maximum impact for aroma, flavor and bitterness.

Denali Thunder Punch pours a light and hazy bronze, crowned with a froth ivory cap. The Denali hops command the nose with a rich and rife scent of dried tropical fruit, citrus, herb and spice. Honey, hay, graham cracker and a somewhat dull caramel and bread crust flavor layer on the early palate.

As the malt sweetness dissipates, the middle palate shines even more the the single source hops. Dried pineapple and passionfruit make a tropical mark while a citrusy component of under ripened orange, lime and light lemon support the tropical flavors. A late palate of botanical spice brings a sense of lemongrass, lemon verbena, lemon pepper and a green tea, sassafras finish.

Medium full in body, the beer's mold malt regimen and a spicy alcohol character has the beer reading both rich and dry at the same time. A vodka-like heat decorates the throat while a long linger of fresh grassiness, herb and leaf trail deep on the after palate.
