Drinking our way through quarantine has never been tastier, thanks to Blue Stallion Brewing and their almond, chocolate, coconut slathered American Porter. Even when it feels like isolation, we're definitely almond this together.

Dark and generous in its brown depth of darkness, We're Almond This Together constructs a frothy, luxurious cap before drawing the nose with its dessert-like succulence of chocolate, caramel, vanilla and candied almond. Sweet introductions are made with the early palate receiving a blend of toffee, chocolate, cream and cola.

As the flavors roll along the middle palate, the sweetness relaxes while saturation of the tastebuds become complete. Meanwhile the nuttiness remains firm as the creaminess of coconut and the toasted taste of almond align for a marzipan influence as the session endures. Light on bitterness, a hint of coffee and cola make a play on the late palate as remnants of roasted nuttiness continues.

Full bodied and seemingly firmer because of the decadence of dessert flavors, but the beer shares a lighter and much more drinkable texture very late in finish. A long aftertaste of chocolate, toast and nuttiness lingers in expected fashion.
